Cultural festivals conclude in Morocco and Tunisia
The Moulay Abdellah Amghar Festival in the El Jadida province of Morocco has concluded its latest edition. The event, which ran from August 7, featured a blend of religious, cultural, and heritage activities, including traditional Tbourida equestrian shows, falconry, and the revival of the ‘Halqa’ art form. Organizers reported exceptional visitor numbers, noting that the festival serves as a significant driver for local economic and tourism development in the Doukkala region.
In Tunisia, the 60th edition of the Hammamet International Festival concluded with a performance by artist Sofiya Sadek. The closing ceremony coincided with the Tunisian National Women's Day. This year's festival featured 32 diverse artistic performances, ranging from Maghreb and Arabic music to international acts from Africa, Cuba, the United States, Spain, Portugal, and Turkey, aiming to cater to a wide variety of musical tastes and generations.
