Cultural festivals conclude in Tuscany and Piedmont

Various cultural festivals in Italy are reaching their conclusions this August. In Castiglione D’Orcia, the ‘Alba e Tramonto Festival’ concludes with the ‘Concerto al Tramonto’ at Podere La Scaladi Gallina. The musical event features Giuditta Scorcelletti and Maurizio Geri, performing a repertoire of traditional Tuscan folk music that explores the connection between oral tradition and contemporary interpretation.

In the Piedmont region, the 25th edition of the ‘Paesaggi e oltre’ festival, which highlights the UNESCO-protected landscapes of Langa and Monferrato, will end on August 24 in Montegrosso D'Asti. The closing performance, ‘Le soleil et la lune’ by Casa degli Alfieri, features Emanuele Arrigazzi in a poetic and tragicomic production exploring themes of human connection and solitude.
