Cultural festivals feature theater in Budva and opera in Dubrovnik

Cultural events are taking place in Budva and Dubrovnik. In Budva, the 40th Grad Teatar festival will feature the production ‘Generacija Z: Nikad viđena ljepota’ (Generation Z: Unseen Beauty) by the Bratislava-based DPOH City Theatre. Directed by Zuzana Fialova, the award-winning play explores themes of female identity, social expectations, and the pressures of beauty standards.

In Dubrovnik, the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Festival concludes with a grand Opera Gala in front of the Cathedral. The event features soprano Pretty Yende alongside Darija Auguštan and tenor Tomislav Jukić, accompanied by the HRT Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sebastian Lang-Lessing. The program includes various operatic and operetta pieces from composers such as Mozart, Verdi, and Puccini.
