The 35th edition of the International Autumn Theatre Festival of Carballo (FIOT) is entering its second week. The festival's alternative cycle, OTNI, begins this Thursday with the production ‘Ninguén tira fotos nos enterros’ by Carlota e Compañía. The main stage programming will commence on Saturday, featuring eight high-level shows, including the documentary theatre piece ‘Ictus’ by the Galician company Chévere.
Additionally, the Rúa dos Contos segment continues with various performances. Recent highlights included Carles Sans’s farewell show, ‘Por fin me voy!’, and ‘O chou’ by Sobria e Serena. Upcoming scheduled performances include ‘O que non estaba escrito’ by Carmen Conde and ‘Poesía acústica’ by Lúa Mosquetera.
In music, the Festival En Órbita concluded its second day with a focus on indie pop. Performances featured Beach Fossils and the duo Dënver, the latter of whom previewed material from their upcoming studio album. The event included afterparty sets by Alejandro Paz, Diegors, and Andrea Paz.
