The 13th Provincial Immigrant Festival in Goya, Argentina, has officially commenced with the coronation of queens and cultural ambassadors. During a ceremony at Paseo Puerto Interior, 18 different communities presented their representatives, known as Guardians of Culture. These individuals will represent their ancestral legacies and compete for provincial titles later this month. Participating communities include groups representing Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Basque Country, Arab nations, Paraguay, Portugal, and Uruguay.
In Toluca, Mexico, the Catrineando parade took place in the Historic Center to celebrate the Day of the Dead. The event featured traditional processions including riders from Rancho El Pirul and participants dressed as catrinas and catrines. The celebration also highlighted Mexican charrería traditions, featuring the state champion escarmuza from Metepec, La Magdalena Ocotitlán, and the group Barriletes.
