Cultural festivals held in Paipa and Zacatecas

Various regional festivals are taking place in Colombia and Mexico to celebrate local gastronomy and traditions.

In Paipa, Colombia, the IV Gastronomic and Cultural Festival of Paipa Cheese and the III Paipa Dance Fest are being held from October 23 to 25. Centered at the Raíces de Paipa Market Square, the event honors the region's cheese, which holds a Denomination of Origin. The program includes dance workshops, traditional breakfasts and lunches, a waiter race, and musical performances.

In Zacatecas, Mexico, the 4th Wine and Mezcal Festival, titled ‘De la Raíz a la Copa’, is being held on October 24 and 25 at the Centro Platero de Guadalupe. Organized by the state Secretariat of Economy, the festival aims to promote local producers and connect families with the state's wine and mezcal industries. The event features various certified mezcal brands from the region, which operates under the Mezcal Denomination of Origin.
