Cultural festivals held in Vizzini and Roana

Various cultural festivals are taking place across Italy, featuring theatrical performances and street art.

In Vizzini, the Verghiane 2026 festival continues with a series of five shows dedicated to the works of Giovanni Verga. Running from August 24 through November 26, the program includes musical theater, plays such as ‘La caccia al lupo’, and a concluding flute concert featuring readings from Verga’s literature. Some performances will be held at the Borgo della Cunziria, with free shuttle services provided for attendees.

In Roana, the sixteenth edition of the CucuFestival is scheduled from August 27 to August 30, 2026. The festival features sixteen street theater and contemporary circus performances distributed across six different hamlets on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The event utilizes diverse outdoor settings, including forests, meadows, and squares, to host its free-entry performances.
