Cultural festivals highlight early music and folklore in Central Europe

The third edition of the ‘Autumn with Early Music’ festival is scheduled to take place from September 19 to 27, 2026, in the Opole region of Poland. The event will be held in Opole, Głuchołazy, and Głogówek, featuring performances by renowned artists such as Krzysztof and Anna Firlus, alongside young talents from the Baroque Scene of Youth. The program includes works from the Baroque era and associated cultural events, such as lectures and historical walks.

In Cieszyn, the second edition of the ‘Mozaika Folkloru’ (Mosaic of Folklore) recently concluded at the Adam Mickiewicz Theatre. Organized by the ZPiT ‘Olza’ ensemble from Czech Cieszyn, the event featured a dynamic showcase of folk traditions from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Participating groups included the Czech ensemble Kohoutek, the Slovak group Považan, and local Polish ensembles Kapela Lipka and Kapela Skalni.
