Cultural festivals launch in Bilwi and Guanacaste

In Bilwi, Nicaragua, the month of Autonomy for the Caribbean Coast has commenced with a rhythmic band festival. The event, held on October 1, features students and cultural groups performing traditional dances, music, and wearing customary attire to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the Statute of Autonomy of the Caribbean Coast Regions.

In Costa Rica, the cultural project ‘Baile a Tierra’ is launching a sound experience at Parque Tempisque in Guanacaste from October 2 to 11. Based on an award-nominated children's album produced by Pee-pah! Fábrica de Sonido, the installation invites participants to explore nature through music using elements like plants, water, and animal sounds. The project features musical contributions from Andrés Cervilla, María Teresa Brenes, and various local performers.
