Cultural festivals launch in Campania and Veneto

The Picentia Short Film Festival has launched its tenth edition, running until September 27 across Battipaglia and Vietri sul Mare. Centered on the theme ‘Echoes’, the festival features 29 finalist short films competing in various categories, including the new ‘Over Time’ section for medium and long films. The event includes outdoor screenings, workshops for youth, and literary reviews. Notable guests include Fortunato Cerlino and festival godmother Nathaly Caldonazzo.

In Veneto, the twelfth edition of the Festival del Viaggiatore is underway until October 11. Themed ‘Revolution’, the festival explores travel through the lens of culture, sustainability, and social change. The itinerary spans historical villas, museums, and villages, featuring a specific focus on the ‘Revolution of Women’ through literature and art. Scheduled highlights include appearances by Chiara Francini, Giovanna Zucca, and Milo Manara.
