Cultural festivals return in Sept-Îles and Belgium

The Festi-GrÎles de la Côte-Nord has returned to Sept-Îles after a hiatus in 2025. This year’s edition features a new format, including free admission and a relocated site at the Vieux-Quai. The event emphasizes culinary experiences with the inclusion of a Ribfest and showcases local musical talent. Organizers reported a strong turnout on the first Friday evening.

In Belgium, the Chants de foire festival expanded to a two-day format. While the first night, aimed at a younger audience with DJ performances, attracted approximately 700 people, the second day saw a lower attendance of about 600 spectators. Despite the lower turnout compared to the previous year, organizers noted a positive atmosphere and successful performances by artists such as Camille and Juliette.
