Cultural festivals scheduled for Jena and Bremen in 2026

The Jena Altstadtfest 2026 is scheduled to take place from September 11 to September 20. Centered on the historical marketplace in Jena, Germany, the ten-day event will feature music, gastronomy, and various market offerings. An additional fair with rides and games will be located at Eichplatz. The festival is organized by JenaKultur and will officially open with a traditional beer tapping at 5:45 PM on Friday, September 11.

In Bremen, the 37th Musikfest Bremen will run from August 15 to September 4, 2026. The opening night, titled ‘Eine große Nachtmusik,’ will feature 18 concerts across nine venues surrounding the historic marketplace, including the Bremen City Hall and St. Petri Cathedral. The festival will include more than 45 events distributed across Bremen, Bremerhaven, and other locations in the northwest region.
