Cultural festivals scheduled in Betim and Mesquita

Various cultural events are scheduled across Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. In Betim, the Festival Laços will take place at Praça Milton Campos on August 22. The event, which celebrates the 120th anniversary of Drogaria Araújo, will feature a performance by the band Pato Fu. The group is expected to play hits from their career and tracks from their album ‘30’.

In Mesquita, the ‘Curta Na Praça Municípios’ short film festival will be held at Praça Walter Borges in Chatuba on August 14 and 15. The free event will showcase 16 national films covering diverse themes such as climate change, folklore, racism, and social identity. The program includes film screenings, discussions, and community activities.
