Cultural festivals scheduled in Denmark for August 2026

Various cultural events are scheduled to take place in Denmark from August 20 to 22, 2026.

At Kulturmødet on Mors, the Danish Scenographers (Danske Scenografer) will participate to advocate for the working conditions, rights, and economic stability of artists and freelancers. Moving away from traditional panel debates, the organization will present a performance lecture titled ‘Kom og se giraffen’ to illustrate the complexities of artistic professional lives, such as project-based employment and fluctuating incomes.

Simultaneously, the Tårnby Park Performance Festival will explore themes of democracy through performance art and community engagement. The festival features international artists including Sweden’s Andreas Haglund and Germany’s Joana Öehlschläger, alongside Danish artist Thea Carla Schott. The event includes ‘The Wandering Parliament,’ an artistic project where performers move through Amager to engage residents and collect stories.
