Cultural festivals scheduled in Foligno and Riolunato
Various cultural and musical events are scheduled across Italy, including the Notte Barocca festival in Foligno and the Note e Arte nel Romanico series in Riolunato.
In Foligno, the Notte Barocca festival concludes a nine-day program of music, drama, and art. A highlight includes the presentation of the Segni Barocchi 2026 Award to Ugo Pagliai at Palazzo Trinci on August 28. The festival features diverse performances, such as a production of Ecclesiastes, a master class concert with works by Claudio Monteverdi and Henry Purcell, and a piano recital at the Oratorio del Crocifisso featuring Beethoven, Liszt, and Verdi.
In Riolunato, the Note e Arte nel Romanico 2026 festival will host a special musical afternoon on August 15 at the Church of San Giacomo. Titled ‘Voci di preghiera’, the concert features soprano Paola Sanguinetti, contralto Maria Ernesta Scabini, and harpist Davide Burani. The program spans three centuries of sacred and operatic repertoire, including works by Mozart, Rossini, and Verdi.
