Cultural festivals scheduled in Los Cabos and Salango

In Los Cabos, Mexico, the CRIT center is hosting a kermés this Saturday, October 10, to support the Teletón 2026 campaign. The event will feature food stalls, musical performances by local artists and center participants, and tours of the rehabilitation facilities. Proceeds will contribute to the national Teletón goal of exceeding the previous record of 469 million pesos.

In Salango, Ecuador, the 35th edition of the Festival de la Balsa Manteña will take place on October 10. Organized by the Centro Juvenil de Desarrollo Salango (Cedesa), the festival celebrates ancestral maritime traditions through the demonstration of balsa wood raft construction and a ritual involving local fishermen. The event aims to preserve cultural knowledge and promote tourism during the upcoming national holiday weekend.
