Cultural festivals scheduled in Valvasone and Val Visdende

Several cultural events are scheduled in the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions of Italy.

In Valvasone, the 34th edition of 'Medioevo a Valvasone' will take place from September 3 to 6. The event features over 150 appointments, including historical reenactments, jousts, music, and theater involving approximately one thousand performers. The 2026 theme, ‘Orcolat – Il risveglio della Terra’, connects the earthquake of 1348 with the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake. Highlights include the Teatro dei Misteri in Piazza Castello and a historical train service connecting Trieste, Gorizia, and Udine to the event.

Additionally, the Enrosadira Festival will be held on August 29 in Val Visdende at the Palco Vaia. This free event focuses on cultural welfare through nature, integrating yoga, music, and dance. The program includes a site-specific saxophone concert, dance workshops focused on environmental resilience following the Vaia storm, and poetic readings. The festival also includes local food tastings and a networking session to discuss cultural sustainability in mountain territories.
