Various cultural and design festivals commence across Poland

Several major cultural events have launched across different Polish cities this week. In Opole, the 31st edition of Drum Fest has begun, featuring world-renowned instrumentalists such as drummer Marco Minnemann and guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal. The festival includes musical workshops and the Young Drum Hero international competition.

In Poznań, the Poznań Design Festival is underway from October 23 to 29. Under the theme ‘Longevity’, the event focuses on adapting urban environments, technology, and services to an aging society. The program includes exhibitions, workshops, and the ‘Poznań Design Talks: Futures of Longevity’ conference, featuring international experts.

Gdańsk is hosting the 17th edition of the NARRACJE festival in the Żabianka district. This contemporary art festival utilizes urban spaces, placing installations on buildings and in greenery to transform the neighborhood into an open-air gallery. Meanwhile, in Zabrze, the 24th National Festival of Contemporary Dramaturgy, ‘Rzeczywistość przedstawiona’, is being held at Teatr Nowy, showcasing modern Polish and international plays through October 25.
