Cultural festivities and holiday discounts announced in Taiwan and Hong Kong
Various cultural and recreational activities are being organized in Taiwan and Hong Kong to coincide with seasonal festivities and the National Day holiday.
In Taiwan, the Chengmei Cultural Park is hosting the ‘Century of Common Life: After the Autumn Harvest’ exhibition through October 31. The event focuses on rural life and seasonal traditions, offering interactive experiences such as ‘Bo Bing’ (dice games) and ‘Tou Hu’ (pitch-pot). The park is also running an ‘Autumn Livelihood Season’ featuring traditional food activities like mung bean cake making and Hakka mochi experiences.
In Hong Kong, numerous venues and services are offering discounts and free entry for the National Day holiday. Major science and nature attractions, including the Hong Kong Science Museum, Hong Kong Space Museum, and Hong Kong Wetland Park, will offer free admission to permanent exhibitions on October 1. Additionally, Ocean Park is providing discounts on admission and panda-themed products.
Transportation and dining sectors are also participating in holiday promotions. Several bus companies are offering free rides for children on specific routes, while the Star Ferry and trams will provide free services on October 1. Various restaurant chains and hotels have introduced family meal sets and discounts to support holiday outings.
