Cultural film events scheduled in Schönberg and Brandenburg

Various cultural film events are scheduled in Germany, featuring both contemporary narratives and silent film accompaniments.

In Schönberg, the Kulturverein Probstei, in collaboration with Blitz-Lichtspiele, will present the film ‘Die leisen und die großen Töne’. The story follows Thibaut Desormeaux, a world-renowned orchestra conductor whose life changes following a leukemia diagnosis. While searching for a stem cell donor, he discovers unexpected family connections and a previously unknown brother, Jimmy Lecocq. The screening will be followed by a community discussion to encourage personal exchange.

In Brandenburg an der Havel, the Brandenburger Symphoniker will perform a silent film concert at the Brandenburger Theater. The orchestra, conducted by Burkhard Götze, will provide live music for the 1925 film ‘Zur Chronik von Grieshuus’, based on the novella by Theodor Storm. The performance features music composed by Gottfried Huppertz.
