Cinema festivals and promotional ticket sales across South America

Various film festivals and promotional cinema weeks are taking place across South America. In Argentina, the ‘Fiesta del Cine’ runs from September 10 to 16, offering 2D and 3D tickets for $5,000. Participating theaters include Cinemark Hoyts, Cinépolis, and Multiplex, featuring a mix of new releases like ‘Spider-Man: Un Nuevo Día’ and classics such as the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy.

In Brazil, the ‘Semana do Cinema’ is being held between September 10 and 16. In cities like Manaus and Canoas, promotional tickets are available starting at R$ 10 for morning sessions and R$ 12 for evening shows. Major chains like Cinemark are participating, offering discounts on snacks and collectible items.

Additionally, cultural film events are scheduled elsewhere: the Eurocine 2026 festival is running in Ecuador from September 9 to 20, showcasing 37 European films across eight cities. In Spain, the ICAA is accepting applications for its Spanish film digital catalog, and Mérida is hosting a specialized original version film cycle.
