Cultural events and film festivals highlight regional activities in Croatia and Serbia

Various cultural and community events are taking place across Croatia and Serbia, with a strong focus on children's programming and film festivals.

In Croatia, CineStar is hosting a children's festival for International Children's Week, featuring films like ‘Animal Farm’ and special activities in cities such as Zagreb, Osijek, Rijeka, and Split. Meanwhile, Krapina-Zagorje County is celebrating Children's Week by donating medical equipment and educational materials to hospitals in Krapinske Toplice and Zabok. Other regional activities include a children's weekend in Opatija featuring STEM workshops and pony encounters, and the 35th Croatian Film Days in Karlovac.

Film festivals are also prominent. The Playbox Shorts Film Festival in Zagreb is showcasing 21 Croatian premieres, while the Zagreb Film Festival has announced its program featuring international stars. In Serbia, the FEST International Film Festival will premiere the historical thriller ‘Ruka pravde’, and the film ‘Siroče’ is set for release in cinemas. Additionally, Children's Week in Loznica is being marked by programs promoting children's rights and community involvement.
