Cultural gatherings held in Guna Yala and Sancti Spíritus

In Panama, delegates from 49 Guna Yala communities gathered in Nalunega for the IV Bundorgan Congress. Under the theme “Indigenous women: Resilience against violence and inequality,” the meeting focused on preserving ancestral knowledge, cultural identity, and food sovereignty. Activities included workshops on traditional foods, youth leadership, and the iconography of molas. Arianne Benedetti, Panama’s Vice Minister of Culture, attended the event, where organizers presented a proposal for the VII General Bundorgan Congress scheduled for 2027.

In Cuba, the city of Sancti Spíritus participated in World Chi Kung Day for Health. Hosted by the local Wushu and Chi Kung school, the event took place on the city's main pedestrian boulevard, bringing together participants of all ages to practice breathing techniques and fluid movements. The celebration aimed to promote the physical and mental health benefits of the ancient practice as part of a global initiative to spread the discipline's cultural and wellness values.
