Cultural heritage and architecture highlighted in Italy
Cultural and historical developments are unfolding in various Italian regions. In Terre Roveresche, a book presentation titled ‘Casapesce, un rifugio creativo nelle Terre Roveresche’ will take place on September 30. Written by architect and critic Luca Guido, the book explores a unique fish-shaped residence designed by architect Beniamino Rocca in 2013. The work is described as a research project examining the relationship between architecture, landscape, and poetic vision.
In San Benedetto dei Marsi, recent archaeological excavations in the Abbazia area have uncovered a large necropolis belonging to the ancient Marruvium, a primary center for the Marsi people. During an event for European Heritage Days, officials and archaeologists presented findings from the preventive excavation campaign. Additionally, the Roman Domus on Corso Vittorio Veneto has been opened to the public, featuring mosaics and historical artifacts as part of local efforts to promote archaeological tourism.
