Cultural heritage and architecture highlighted in Spanish forums
Spain hosted two significant cultural events focused on heritage conservation and management. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the XII Architecture Week featured a conference by FADG Estudio founders Deiene González and Fernando Arocha. Their presentation, titled ‘Rehabilitation processes and contemporary uses. Experiences in cultural heritage’, addressed the adaptation of historical buildings to modern needs while preserving their character and memory.
Simultaneously, the 45th Forum of Associations and Cultural Managers took place in Valencia. Organized by Hispania Nostra with support from regional and local government bodies, the forum celebrated ‘50 years committed to the future of cultural heritage’. The event included roundtables and site visits to locations such as the Hortensia Herrero Art Center and the Albufera Natural Park, despite a weather-related delay to its initial inauguration.
