Cultural heritage books launched in Maramureș and Banat
Several new historical and cultural volumes have been launched in Romania and Serbia, focusing on preserving regional heritage.
In Vișeu de Sus, Romania, Dr. Teodor Ardelean presented ‘Magnum Diarium Academicum Septentrionis’. This approximately 1,000-page work is dedicated to the academic and cultural memory of Maramureș and the Romanian North. Speakers at the event highlighted the book's value in recovering forgotten scholarly figures and its importance as a research tool.
In Torac, Serbia, Priest Ioan Farca launched ‘Rădăcini și tradiții’ (Roots and Traditions). Published by Editura CPE ‘Libertatea’, the book explores the history, traditions, and spiritual heritage of Romanian villages in Central Banat, including Toracu Mic, Toracu Mare, Ecica, Sârcia, Iancaid, Clec, and Chisoroș.
