Cultural heritage developments in Montecatini Terme and Montorio al Vomano

In Montecatini Terme, the National Association of Carabinieri has completed the restoration and setup of the ‘Stanza dei Ricordi’ (Room of Memories). This permanent museum space is dedicated to the history of the Arma dei Carabinieri, featuring uniforms, flags, photographs, and documents that represent the institution's heritage and the sacrifices made by its members.

In Montorio al Vomano, a controversy has emerged following the removal of a historical hammer and sickle symbol from a local hill. For many residents, the symbol served as a recognizable landmark and a piece of the community's collective political and social memory. Critics of the removal argue that erasing such symbols diminishes the historical and documentary value of the local landscape.
