Cultural heritage events draw crowds in the Netherlands

The Rolling Steel event took place on September 12 and 13 at the Sint Isidorushoeve, featuring approximately 300 historical military vehicles organized by Keep Them Rolling. The event included a vehicle procession through public roads and a reenactment of a World War II battle between German and Allied forces in Boekelo. A Spitfire aircraft from the Antwerp area also performed flyovers above the village.

In a separate cultural event, the Haags Openbaar Vervoer Museum (HOVM) saw high attendance during the Open Monumentenweekend. Visitors participated in rides using historical trams, including the PCC 1165 and the Blue tram A327. The museum featured musical performances by the TAVENU brass band and offered various historical items for sale in its museum shop.
