Cultural heritage events scheduled in Saint-Beauzély and Montfort-sur-Meu

Cultural events are scheduled in Saint-Beauzély and Montfort-sur-Meu. In Saint-Beauzély, the association Aporia Culture is organizing a day dedicated to statue-menhirs on August 26. The event includes street art workshops led by painter Laurent and sculpture workshops led by Moran Bessaguet from the Castres Center for Conservation and Archaeology (CERAC). In the evening, archaeologist Alain Rodrigue will hold a lecture regarding the mysteries of the statue-menhirs in the Tarn region.

In Montfort-sur-Meu, a program for the European Heritage Days is set for September 19, 2026. Activities include the ‘Portraits des Glorieuses’ exhibition by Candice Hazouard, a collective listening session about the Papegaut tower led by Charline Yao, and a scavenger hunt titled ‘Le Papegaut d’Or’. Other scheduled events include a walking tour of the town from the 1950s and 60s, a souvenir notebook workshop with Audrey Poix, and demonstrations involving the local church organ.
