Cultural heritage initiatives launched in Puebla and Atacama

In Puebla, Mexico, officials and specialists met to discuss the preservation and intervention of historic buildings in the city's Historic Center. The meeting included representatives from the State Housing Commission of Puebla, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), and local business chambers. Participants emphasized the need for cooperation between civil society, experts, and the business sector to safeguard the architectural and cultural value of the area according to established monument zone guidelines.

In Chile, the Regional Museum of Atacama introduced its 2026-2030 Educational Policy. Developed through a participatory process involving teachers, students, and indigenous communities across three provinces, the strategy aims to transform the museum into an active heritage space. The policy focuses on interculturality and local knowledge, seeking to strengthen the bond between the museum and regional educational communities through inclusive and critical heritage education.
