Cultural heritage projects advance in Paraguay and Spain
In Paraguay, the Tape Tuya project is progressing in the Itapúa region to recover the ancient Jesuit road. The initiative aims to restore the historical route connecting the Jesuit-Guaraní towns of Santísima Trinidad del Paraná and Jesús de Tavarangué. Supported by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the project seeks to integrate cultural and natural heritage into a tourism circuit involving local communities and service providers.
In Spain, archaeological work at the Torre del Espartal in Priego de Córdoba has uncovered the original floor of a medieval chamber and the base of its perimeter walls. This discovery allows for the reconstruction of the tower's ideal height and the installation of an access system. The project intends to transform the former defensive structure into a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Priego-Alcaudete depression, utilizing a metal staircase designed to mimic medieval styles.
