Cultural heritage projects highlighted in Argentina and Mexico
In Goya, Argentina, students from the Instituto Superior Dr. Daniel Lesteime's Early Childhood Education program participated in a cultural heritage project titled ‘Huellas de nuestra historia’. Led by the Cátedra de Práctica III, the students visited the historic Casa de la Cultura de Goya to engage with local history through historical objects and regional artworks. The visit, guided by Culture Director Lito Zampar, aimed to help future educators connect with and reinterpret the community's historical and cultural identity.
In Mexico, the ‘Espíritu Jaguar’ project is developing an interdisciplinary performance combining circus, dance, theater, and folklore to preserve the oral traditions of Guerrero. Supported by the Mexican government's PACMyC program, the project seeks to reconnect younger generations with Mesoamerican cosmovision and local legends, specifically centering on the jaguar as a cultural symbol. The production is scheduled to premiere in November 2026.
