Cultural heritage sites in Altamura and Mantova announce new tours and exhibitions
Various cultural and historical sites in Italy are launching new visitor programs and exhibitions. In Altamura, the Cava Pontrelli will host free guided tours from October 24 to December 6, 2026. These visits offer access to over 20,000 dinosaur footprints dating back approximately 80 million years.
In Mantova, several historical initiatives are underway. The Soprintendenza has organized free guided tours of Porta Giulia, a monumental defensive structure of the Cittadella. Additionally, Palazzo Ducale is introducing Saturday afternoon tours focused on the exhibition dedicated to Ferdinando Gonzaga, including a visit to the Appartamento dei Nani.
Furthermore, the Museo Maca in Palazzo San Sebastiano will host a historical and artistic presentation regarding San Luigi Gonzaga and his renunciation of the Marquisate of Castiglione to join the Society of Jesus.
