Cultural initiatives announced in Bucaramanga and Manizales

Cultural initiatives are expanding in Colombia with new opportunities for artists in Bucaramanga and Manizales.

In Bucaramanga, the Municipal Institute of Culture and Tourism (IMCT), supported by Neomundo and Idartes, is hosting the second ARTEFACTUM laboratory. Scheduled for August 20–22 at Neomundo, the program focuses on dance, choreography, and dramaturgy. Led by choreographer and dramaturg Diana Salamanca, the workshop aims to strengthen creative processes and scenic narrative through collective experimentation and collaborative work.

Meanwhile, the Manizales Secretary of Culture and Civismo has launched a call for regional artists to participate in the 70th Manizales Fair. The initiative offers 80 slots for musical artists and groups with fiscal domicile in the 27 municipalities of Caldas. The call covers various genres, including tropical, folklore, ranchera, and urban music, with applications open until September 21, 2026.
