Cultural initiatives announced in Crevillent and Valencia

The Generalitat has announced an investment of 3.1 million euros for the Crevillent City Council to finalize the reopening of the Teatro Chapí. The funds will be used to complete necessary technical adaptations, including the installation of lighting, sound equipment, curtains, and stage technical means. Additionally, the investment will address safety and infrastructure requirements such as air conditioning, elevators, and fire prevention systems.

President Juanfran Pérez Llorca stated that the government aims to resolve the theater's issues quickly to make the space available to residents. He noted that total investments currently underway in Crevillent exceed six million euros this year.

In a separate cultural development, the Compromís party has proposed the creation of 'Bo Teatre València' in Valencia. This municipal program would involve an initial allocation of 250,000 euros to provide 10,000 cultural vouchers. The initiative aims to lower financial barriers to the performing arts, specifically targeting low-income families and helping to foster new audiences for local theaters and companies.
