Cultural initiatives celebrate Chilean heritage in Biobío and beyond
The Month of Music in the Biobío region concluded in Concepción with a large-scale concert at Plaza de la Independencia. The event, which drew over a thousand attendees, featured chamber music, collective singing, Afro-Colombian rhythms, and singer-songwriter performances. The celebration was organized by the Regional Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage of Biobío, in collaboration with Concepción Musical and the Municipality of Concepción.
Separately, the fifth edition of the Circuito Matta Patrimonial is expanding to include activities outside of Santiago. To commemorate the 115th anniversary of the birth of artist Roberto Matta, the initiative will feature programming across 18 cultural spaces in Santiago, Valparaíso, and Buenos Aires. Supported by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage, the circuit includes exhibitions and discussions aimed at preserving and sharing the legacy of the 1990 National Art Prize winner.
