Cultural initiatives in Mexico and Ecuador use art to promote social peace

In Mexico, the National Orchestra Circuit for Peace held a concert in Cuautla, Morelos, featuring the Carlos Chávez Symphony Orchestra and Sonora Dinamita. This initiative aims to rebuild social fabric and reclaim public spaces. Additionally, in Aguascalientes, the Semilleros Creativos de Paz program hosted the Fiesta Voces por la Paz 2026, where 120 youth presented artistic works in disciplines such as painting, writing, and modeling to foster community identity.
In Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Municipality organized the third edition of the ZUMAR 2026 Peace Band Competition. The event at the Abel Jiménez Parra Coliseum brought together 11 musical groups and over 580 children and young people, using musical and choreographic performances to encourage discipline and social integration.
