Cultural initiatives in Molfetta and Siligo focus on heritage and women

In Molfetta, a research initiative has been launched to locate former students of the late master stone carver Antonio De Cesare. The project seeks to document the history of the "Women in Art: Stone Working" laboratory, which was held in the city's historic center. An artist from Molfetta, educated at the National College of Art & Design in Ireland, is leading the effort to collect photographs, memories, and testimonies from the approximately 425 women who participated in the courses to preserve this chapter of local artisanal history.

In Siligo, the third edition of the Ammajare Festival has concluded, celebrating art, literature, and social issues. The event featured tributes to regional icon Maria Carta and writer Michela Murgia. Notable highlights included the presentation of Nando dalla Chiesa's book, a concert by the Sardinian group Bertas, and the announcement that the Siligo Municipal Library will be named after Julia Carta. Additionally, journalist Emanuela Pala received the
