Cultural initiatives in Poland highlight identity and social awareness

As part of the Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2026, artist Zofia Pałucha is presenting her exhibition ‘Mother of One’. The collection utilizes imagery from press, film, and private sources to explore themes of identity, motherhood, and systemic violence. The work examines how social media labels can reduce complex human experiences to mere utility or status.

In Inowrocław, the Inowrocław Women's Council has unveiled a purple bench at the Women's Rights Square. This installation serves as a symbol of support for victims of violence, carrying the message: ‘You are not alone. Help is closer than you think.’ The project, supported by Mayor Arkadiusz Fajok, is the first in a series of colored benches intended to spark community dialogue regarding safety, social issues, and health.
