Cultural institutions in Italy host special museum night events
Various cultural institutions across Italy are hosting special museum night events. In Pescara, the ‘Notte dei Musei’ returns on September 5 as part of the Settimana Dannunziana. The event features extended hours and free guided tours at several locations, including the Gabriele d’Annunzio Birth House, the Museo Civico Basilio Cascella, and the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo. Contemporary venues such as Imago Museum, CLAP Museum, and MicHub will also remain open late, offering reduced ticket prices for exhibitions ranging from German Expressionism to Italian Pop Art.
In Asti, the ‘Notte al Museo’ event is scheduled for September 11 at the Palazzo del Michelerio. Hosted by the Astigiano Paleontological Park and the Ecomuseo Basso Monferrato Astigiano, the evening titled ‘Notte al Museo: il tempo del mare’ will combine paleontological exhibits with poetry and music. The program includes readings of works by various poets alongside violin performances, centered around the prehistoric marine fossils preserved at the museum.
