Cultural institutions launch new language and arts programs

The Aram Tigran City Conservatory, operated by the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, has opened applications for its new educational term. Running from September 1 to September 20, 2026, the program offers free training in six departments: cinema, theater, music, children's music, Kurdish language and literature, and govend.

Workshop classes will be held at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center. The children's music department is specifically designed for ages 7 to 12, offering a six-year curriculum taught in Kurdish. Following the application period, student selection workshops will take place from September 21 to 27, with results announced on October 5 and classes commencing on October 12.

Separately, the Hrant Dink Foundation is launching a new term for its Western Armenian language programs. The initiative aims to preserve the language through modern teaching methods, including online courses and speaking workshops.

The online training program consists of two terms: the first from September 21, 2026, to January 25, 2027, and the second from February 15 to June 21, 2027. Each term includes 72 hours of instruction delivered via Zoom. Applications for the program must be submitted by September 17, 2026. Additionally, speaking workshops will begin on October 12, 2026, to help learners improve their vocabulary and conversational skills.
