Cultural Leonesa defeats Oviedo Baloncesto to advance in Copa España

Cultural Leonesa secured a spot in the round of 16 of the Copa España after defeating Oviedo Baloncesto 69-67. Despite being in the Segunda FEB category—one level below their opponents—the León-based team managed to overcome a late surge from the Asturian side.

Cultural Leonesa controlled much of the early game, leading 21-13 after the first quarter and maintaining a narrow 38-35 lead at halftime. Oviedo Baloncesto appeared to take control in the third quarter, building an 11-point lead and entering the final period ahead 59-50.

However, the final quarter saw a significant collapse from Oviedo Baloncesto, who were outscored 19-8 in the closing period. Cultural Leonesa capitalized on Oviedo's poor shooting, including a struggle with three-point accuracy, to reclaim the lead and secure the victory.
