Cultural Leonesa signs Álex Cardero and Carlos Pomares

Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa has announced two new signings to strengthen its squad for the upcoming Primera Federación campaign.

Álex Cardero, a 22-year-old midfielder, joins the club on loan from Real Oviedo. Cardero brings experience from various competitive contexts, having previously played for CD Mirandés and AEK Larnaca in Cyprus. His arrival is part of the club's ongoing efforts to bolster its midfield under manager Jandro Castro.

Additionally, the club has secured the signing of Carlos Pomares to reinforce the defense. The veteran left-back, who has extensive experience in the Segunda División with clubs such as AD Alcorcón and CD Tenerife, has signed a one-season contract with an optional extension. The club aims to add intensity and veteran leadership to the defensive line through his incorporation.
