Cultural music events scheduled in Rionegro and Montería

Various musical and cultural events are scheduled for Saturday, October 24, in Rionegro and Montería, Colombia.

In Rionegro, the 'Sonamos Latinoamérica Oriente Antioqueño' initiative will feature free activities including discussions, masterclasses, and musical performances. The program begins at the Baldomero Sanín Cano Library with a discussion on Latin American lyrics and memory featuring Mexican saxophonist Abraham Yacaman. Subsequent masterclasses on rhythm and technique will be held at the Casa de la Música, followed by a closing concert at the Ricardo Rendón Bravo Auditorium featuring Etnias, the Mexican group Colectivo Sonidos de mi Tierra, and the Sonsón-based group Yimala.

In Montería, the Plaza Cultural del Sinú will host 'La Ronda Vive,' a free event focused on Spanish-language rock. The lineup includes local artists Santino, IndianSommer, and José Matera. A central highlight of the evening will be a performance by El Cuarto Soda as part of their 'Me verás volver' tour, paying tribute to the influential Argentine band Soda Stereo.
