Cultural music festivals scheduled in Ribeira Sacra and La Gomera

Various musical and cultural events are scheduled across Spain this September. In the Ribeira Sacra region, the fifth edition of the ‘Santa Cristina in musica’ cycle will take place at the Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil monastery on September 19 and 26. The program features Portuguese guitarist Ricardo J. Martins and flamenco guitarist Álvaro Martinete, who will perform his new work, ‘Sonidos de mi guitarra’.

In La Gomera, the 65th edition of the ‘Jornadas Colombinas’ continues with a focus on music. The III Colombino Piano Concert Cycle will be held at the Auditorio Insular de La Gomera on September 7 and 8, featuring pianists Cristina Rodríguez Pastor and Laura Gordo Gil. Additionally, the ‘México inolvidable’ show, featuring Venezuelan singer Josefina Alemán and her mariachi, will perform in Hermigua on September 7 to highlight cultural ties between the Canary Islands and the Americas.
