Cultural performances held in Chile and Spain

In Iquique, Chile, the musical and dance group Bandelé presented the gala ‘Cumanana, el latido de nuestra historia’ at the Salón Tarapacá. The three-hour performance explored Afro-Tarapacá and Afro-Peruvian identity through music and dance, covering themes of ancestral history, slavery, and cultural resistance. The repertoire included rhythms such as landó, alcatraz, and son de los diablos, as well as traditional cuecas performed by national champions Matías Romero Soto and Karla Gómez Figueroa.

In Segovia, Spain, the cultural association La Esteva held a charity gala at the Teatro Juan Bravo to honor the late Manuel Herrero, known as Michel. The event brought together six musical groups to celebrate his legacy as a central figure in the local music scene. All proceeds from the performance were donated to the Asociación Diabetes Segovia.
