Cultural events and traditions highlighted across Maule and Juliaca

Various cultural and educational initiatives are taking place across different regions. In the Maule Costa region of Chile, the fifth edition of the “Música es Compartir” school band encounter will feature over 100 students from the SLEP Maule Costa service. The event, held in Cauquenes, aims to strengthen artistic expression and community ties among students from Cauquenes, Pelluhue, Chanco, Constitución, and Empedrado.

In Talca, Chile, the transdisciplinary performance “De la Tierra al Cielo” will be presented in Río Claro. Inspired by the Cruz de Mayo celebrations, the show integrates diverse disciplines including Butoh dance, hair suspension, aikido, and traditional singing to bring rural community rites to urban spaces.

In Juliaca, Peru, more than 100 institutions are preparing for the “Tocoreada del Amanecer Calcetero.” This musical and traditional event is scheduled for October 24 to honor the centennial of the San Román province, involving students and educators in a procession through the city's Plaza de Armas.
