Cultural performances scheduled in Greece: Melachrinos Velentzas and Autechre

Performer and pianist Melachrinos Velentzas will present his work ‘Rebirth’ in the Folios Forest on October 24 and 25. This holistic cultural experience utilizes the natural landscape of the Natura 2000 protected area to explore themes of memory and absence. The performance incorporates abandoned pianos within the forest, allowing one to be played again as part of a ritualistic process involving the audience and the natural elements.

In Athens, the electronic music duo Autechre, consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, is scheduled to perform at Universe on October 3. The live show is designed to take place in absolute darkness, removing visual stimuli to focus entirely on their experimental electronic soundscapes. The duo, known for their evolution from techno and hip-hop roots to highly experimental compositions, is recognized for these unique sensory-focused live performances.
