Cultural performances scheduled in Reus and Vila Joiosa

The city of Reus will host the theatrical production ‘Reusenques, a escena’, co-directed by Antònia Farré and Rosa Mateu. The performance, based on the literary collective Reusenques de Lletres, features four micro-theatre stories that trace a circular route through the city, including locations such as Teatre Fortuny, the Gaudí neighborhood, and the Institut Pere Mata. The production uses live music and movement to connect historical themes with contemporary issues.

In Vila Joiosa, singer Mara Aranda will perform a concert at the Teatre Auditori on October 25. Described as the ‘trobairitz of the 21st century’, Aranda will lead an all-female ensemble to explore the music and poetry of medieval female troubadours. The performance aims to highlight the historical agency and creative sovereignty of women through ancient music and instrumentation.
