Cultural programs conclude summer seasons in Mexico and Spain

Various cultural programs are concluding summer seasons in Mexico and Spain through specialized musical and theatrical performances.

In Mexico, UNAM is hosting a cycle of ancient music from August 20 to September 27. The program features ten concerts at the Sala Carlos Chávez and the Anfiteatro Simón Bolívar, showcasing diverse eras ranging from Medieval liturgical monody and troubadour lyricism to the European Baroque. Featured performers include Margaret Little, Rafael Sánchez Guevara, and ensembles such as Neige pens’art and Gradus Ad Parnassum.

In the Community of Madrid, the ‘Clásicos de Verano’ cycle is concluding with a series of performances focused on 17th-century Italian music. Concerts will take place in various locations, including churches in La Serna del Monte, Carabaña, and Titulcia. Additionally, the ‘Artes Escénicas en Municipios’ program will bring street theater and dance to several municipalities, including performances by Aracaladanza and Proyecto Caravana.
